The Eagle Advisor

Often troops have a committee member or assistant Scoutmaster who has the role of being the Eagle coordinator, counselor, or advisor. This adult is responsible for working with boys to guide them through preparing and submitting their Eagle Scout application and workbook. They may also assist with brainstorming on project ideas and planning. If you or the boy has any questions about his Eagle steps, ask the Eagle advisor. The Eagle advisor may coach and encourage the boy on his progress.

In addition, the district has responsibility for advisement, and almost every district has members of the advancement committee ready to assist an Eagle candidate with project development, paperwork, etc.
